Meet the Hartsville Young Professionals-Kendall

MEET KENDALL CHAPMAN

My name is Kendall Chapman.

My hometown is Hartsville, SC.

At work I serve as a Staffing Coordinator, or Account Manager for our light industrial division at Recruiting Solutions. I recruit employees with a variety of skills and experiences in order to successfully place them in a position with one of my clients. I learn something new everyday! I currently work with several companies in Hartsville, which is very exciting.

Byerly Hospital (LOL) brought me to Hartsville.

I have lived in Hartsville for 25 years.

You may not know that I was a Girl Scout for many years. I completed my Gold Award, which is equivalent to the Eagle Scout of Boy Scouts. I am obsessed with Pugs, but I have a Boykin Spaniel. Two summers ago, I traveled to South Korea and even visited the DMZ.

Three things you can always find in my refrigerator are string cheese, cucumbers and maybe a little bit of wine?

My favorite Hartsville spots are Retrofit and Lawton Park.

My favorite Hartsville food is the pimento cheese burger at Ruth's Drive-In.

On a weekend in Hartsville you can find me shopping at Raised Down South, MOG's or Minnie's on a Saturday morning. On Sundays, I'll be at Bethlehem United Methodist Church (outside of city limits).

On a weeknight in Hartsville you can find me at Fitness World Gym in Shelley's Zumba class or at Bella Nails getting a pedicure.

I HYP because I want to re-connect with any young Hartsville professionals that I've known from school or just growing up in the area. I also really hope to network and form new connections with those who are newer to Hartsville!

I love Hartsville because it is a small town with a city vibe. We are growing, and there is always something fun to do. Hartsville offers that sense of community with still so many recreational and employment opportunities. I also think Hartsville is a wonderful place to raise children.

A Hartsville hidden gem that many don't know about is Mr. Warren Blackwell's antique shop. His oriental rugs are gorgeous!
